With most mapping programs, problems don't surface until the final map has been drawn. MAP Exec gives you the ability to print out FieldLink(tm) MAP files as they come in from the field to your office, and helps predict most of the problems that slow the field mapping process down. With this utility, you can catch big problems before they affect your mapping process, and eliminate costly errors and downtime due to incorrect maps. You can verify boundaries, samples, grids, points, lines, markers and domains as the field workers bring the source files in.
MAP Exec allows you to print out or view on-screen the field boundary, sample sites, grid, lines, points and markers for visual comparison, eliminating drawing of fields by hand. If the field computer was malfunctioning or if an area was eliminated or misjudged, adjustments can be made before the mapping process begins and while the field layout is still fresh on the field worker's mind. MAP Exec defaults to viewing and printing all applicable mapping entities, but gives the option to select or deselect entities. MAP Exec allows you to batch print a group of files at a pre-selected scale; during batch printing, all entities are printed. MAP Exec allows the field worker to quickly label the waterways, terraces, fence lines, etc. on the printed out map. The actual source file name is printed, eliminating search time for the file. MAP Exec can save significant time and money by catching errors in domain in the source file, since the actual domain that the source file has embedded in it is printed. MAP Exec can handle larger fields easily, accommodating fields up to 1 1/2 miles across, with 4 different scale settings. MAP Exec is easy to use. But if you need it, we have context sensitive help at your fingertips!
MAP Exec is Windows 3.1x and Windows95 compatible. It requires only: Windows 3.1x or Windows95 & 1 Meg hard drive space.
